Day 27 - Berlin (DE)

We had a lovely evening in Berlin with old friends from school exchange days. Amazing memories of 13 exchange trips to this incredible city. We stayed at the IBIS Hauptbahnhof (central station) for ease of access.

We caught the train mid-morning to Köln (Cologne) and then on to Bruxelles-Midi. Photo from station platform with the Reichstag (Parliament Building) in the background. Dome designed by our very own architect, Sir Normal Foster!

And the TV tower .....  yes, another one built by the Soviet in their satellite states/Soviet Republics!

A quick stop-over in Köln (Cologne) and the cathedral was right outside! I have seen this building since I was 11 and it looked a lot newer and cleaner then! (another anglicised name!)
